Young Farmer wins Harper award

During his recent visit to Northern Ireland, Harper Adams University College Principal Dr David Llewellyn attended the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster AGM and conference, and presented the inaugural Harper Adams Top Club Leader Award.
The prize, a cut glass Tyrone crystal vase inscribed with the name of the University College and its crest, will be awarded annually to the best club leader.
The first winner was Martyn Blair, leader of Finvoy YFC, who also received a plaque which he will be able to keep.
Dr Llewellyn addressed 230 young farmers at the AGM in Armagh City Hall.
